Portals.

I’m drawn to photographing portals and much of my photography is consumed by the search for portals, doorways and alleyways as they symbolise the boundary between the human and spiritual worlds, life and death, reality and the divine.
Portals and doorways hold significant symbolic meaning in mythology and mysticism where Gods and other divine entities use portals to travel between their realm and the human realm. For me, looking through a portal into the unknown is like looking into a mirror of my soul in order to reveal the unknown and hidden parts of myself as a way to understand myself better.
